Your Personalised Lessons
For my lessons I use internationally recognised English Language course books and media, including authentic IELTS exercises for higher fluency level students. I also use TV and film clips from YouTube to enhance students' listening skills and their comprehension of English in real use. I especially like using clips from comedies such as Friends and Frasier.
All my lesson are tailored to accommodate each student's own fluency and confidence level:
Take advantage of my intensive one-to-one lessons to really improve fast, especially if you are wanting to prepare for your IELTS exam.
Or learn together in group lessons with your partner or friend. I will teach up to 3 friends together, although you should all be around the same fluency standard to benefit from this.
Teaching can take place either on Zoom or Skype, or at my home in Bollington, Cheshire where I offer a comfortable environment in which to learn, or we could discuss me travelling to you if you live around the Macclesfield area.

Fees
My fee is £24 for a 1 hour lesson (best for beginners) or £35 for 1.5 hours. Whether an individual or a small group of 2 or 3 people it is the same fee.
Language Companies
If you are a language training company and would like to use my services for tutoring your students either on-line or in the East Cheshire area, I would be happy to send you a copy of my CV and my CELTA certificate. I have been assigned a number of private teaching tasks by the language training companies 'Directors Languages' (Maidenhead, Berkshire), 'Language Trainers' (Barkingside, Essex) and 'Professional Language Solutions' (London).
I can also provide references from 2 language schools I have worked for.
Native English Speakers
If you're already a native English speaker and you would like to brush up on your understanding of grammar, then I can help you understand all the parts of speech (nouns, verbs, pronouns etc) plus the rules of the tenses, the passive and modals in a 2 hour blitz! Just £40. Great for when you're trying to learn a European language and you're struggling with its grammatical rules and terminology.
Proof-reading
I will also carry out proof-reading of your documents and papers to check your spelling and grammar. My meticulous and thorough checking of your work will make sure no mistakes get through! The cost is £5 per 15 minutes of work.
Working Hours and Restrictions
My working hours are between 8.30am and 8pm on weekdays only. I'm happy to teach during half-terms, but I'm afraid I do not teach at weekends.
I cannot teach children under 18 as I have no DBS.
